Question

What do I wear to a derby wedding?

Answer

Derby attire can be as mellow or loud as you'd like it to be. Most men wear an outfit that they can accompany a bowtie, suspenders and possibly a bowler, derby or driving hat. For women, a fun summer or cocktail dress works. If you're more into pants and a fun top that works just as well too! Women's most common accessory at the derby is the hat. The hat can be any size, color or shape and you can buy one or choose to make one! If you're looking for outfit ideas, simply look up kentucky derby attire and you'll find something that fits your style! For our wedding you can choose to dress derby or you can come in business casual. We want you to be comfortable and ready to have a good time!

Question

Are your pictures going to take forever like other weddings?

Answer

No, but we need your help to keep it short and sweet. Each family will have an allotted time to come take pictures. If you are there on time, things will be easy breezy; if you are late, we cannot guarantee that we will wait for you. You will be notified with your time slot in advance to keep things organized.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes we will do our best to accommodate you but please let us know in advance!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and guest" then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Is any part of the wedding outside?

Answer

With Minnesota's unpredictable weather, all events will be held indoors with the exception of photographs (weather permitting of course) Please note if you are part of the families, please be prepared with a light sweater or jacket.
