On Jenna’s way home from work in Tampa, FL, her car died and she had to call for a tow to the nearest auto shop. Jenna’s then roommate, Miranda, and friend, Derek, (who are now happily married!) picked her up and suggested they stop for a bite to eat on the way home. Miranda mentioned a great local restaurant happened to be across the street from the auto shop. It was called Jimmy Hulas, and Mitch just so happened to be the Manager at the time. Long story short… Mitch stopped Jenna on her way out that night to ask for her number and they went on their first date one week later on Valentine’s Day.
After 7 months of getting to know one another in Tampa, Mitch moved to Colorado for a new career opportunity. Mitch and Jenna continued to talk and FaceTime every day and (nearly one whole year after meeting) they decided to finally make things official. Not even 1,900 miles and a global pandemic could keep them apart! Mitch and Jenna dated long distance for almost 2 years before Jenna too moved to Colorado for new adventures of her own and they continued to strengthen their relationship.
When visiting Jenna’s family in her hometown, Mitch snuck Jenna away after dinner one night to take a walk down to a historic clock tower, where he then got down on one knee and proposed. His plan went seamlessly while her sister secretly captured the whole moment on camera. They celebrated with friends and family in town and now they can’t wait to celebrate their love all over again!
