Man of Honor
My brother and biggest supporter. Darby is currently in law school in New York, but is sacrificing his time around midterms to be here with us.
Best Man
I've had the pleasure of knowing Tom for my whole life. You could say he's like a father figure to me, because he is one. Tom is ready to debate and discuss just about anything with you, and he is famous for his Dennison Dinner Discussions. He is passionate and spirited, but he also has a heart of gold. I could never thank him enough for how much he and my mom have lifted me up these last 26 years.
Bridesmaid
I first met Raven through a friend and former college roommate. We wound up rooming together ourselves Junior year of college. Raven was (and is) good friends with Mitch, and it was through her that Mitch and I formed our own friendship. She is one of the only people who truly understands what I mean when I tell people Mitch hated me for months (he didn't, but I thought he did). Not only was she there, but she has a similar story of her own! She is currently getting her PhD. at USC (California).
Groomsman
Much like Tom, I have known Luke for all of my life. Luke has had to put up with me since he was six, and other than that one incident at the pool, he has been a perfect older brother. Luke and I have many things in common, such as premature male pattern baldness, poor vision, and a quiet dryness. But like an onion, (and an Ogre), Luke has layers. He is quick, sarcastic, and funny, but more importantly he is loving, reliable, and above all determined to do anything he sets out to do.
Bridesmaid
Mary Pauline is one of the sweetest people and best roommates a girl could ask for! We'd not spent much time together before living with each other Junior year of college, but she became one of my dearest friends. Through her "Dishes Everywhere" song, her world-record sized pancakes, and her devotion to pulling the most harmless of pranks, she became a lifelong friend. She, Mitch, and I would spend hours going to Cookout and hanging in our living room. Though she tried to convince me for some time that Mitch liked me, I refused to believe her. She currently lives in Chicago and is getting her Masters degree.
Groomsman
I met Sam in second grade, when he decided to sit next to me in Ms. Griffin's class. I assumed he was being friendly, but I later learned that he wanted to use me as an "extra reference" for math tests. Regardless, we have been fast friends ever since. Whether it was watching Andy Samberg roll down a mountain over and over or staying up until sunrise playing Halo and Call of Duty in our friend's basement, I knew that if Sam was around, I was gonna have a good time. He is a gentle giant with infectious joy and love.
Bridesmaid
Amanda was my Big Sister in our sorority and became one of the first real friends I had at Furman. Unique, unapologetic, and unafraid to speak her mind, I am so grateful to have someone like her in my corner. She was friends with Mitch long before I knew either of them. Mitch actually first learned of me from Amanda, and she unwittingly facilitated our first meeting! Amanda already has her Masters degree, and she lives in town. She teaches first grade at a local elementary school and is a patient, understanding, and wonderful teacher.
Groomsman
I met Jake at Furman through band, where, much to his chagrin, I was his section leader. Despite being so young, Jake immediately endeared himself to me (as well as constantly annoyed me) with his southern charm and wit. Pray that if he's talking about you, he doesn't say "bless their heart." After years of dealing with each other in the band room, football field, Harper Hall, and whatever apartment in C he and his troupe ended up at, I can confidently say that I hate Jake some of the time, but I love Jake all of the time.
