Getting around Portland

If you’re not planning to rent a car, we’ve got you covered. We will be providing transportation from the hotel to all wedding events. Portland also has an excellent public transportation system. The MAX light rail runs directly from the airport to downtown, and the Red Line stops right at The Dossier. Trains arrive every 10–15 minutes during the day and about every 30 minutes late at night, with service running until 1:45 AM. It’s an easy, affordable way to get into the city and settle in. How to Ride the MAX Light Rail Riding the MAX in Portland is easy, even if you’ve never used public transit before. Here’s a quick guide for getting from the airport to The Dossier: 1. Follow signs for “MAX Light Rail” at PDX After you collect your bags, look for the MAX/Light Rail signs. The station is right outside the terminal — no shuttle needed. 2. Buy a ticket or tap to pay You can purchase a ticket at the station kiosks, or simply tap your credit card/phone on the reader. Fares are the same either way. 3. Board the Red Line toward “City Center & Beaverton” The Red Line is the one that goes downtown. Trains arrive every 10–15 minutes during the day and about every 30 minutes late at night. 4. Ride to “Pioneer Square North” This is the stop closest to The Dossier. The ride takes about 30 minutes. 5. Walk 2 minutes to the hotel From the station, it’s a short, easy walk to The Dossier.
