It's Happening!

Mitch and Corinne met on their way to a baseball game at Angel Stadium, when a mutual friend had an extra pair of tickets. The two of them sat next to each other during the game, while Mitch tried his best to explain all the details of the sport to Corinne. C: I thought he hated me. M: I thought it went really well!

After nearly six months of getting to know each other, going on camping trips with groups of friends, and arranging lunch dates at work, Mitch and Corinne went on their first official date to Stella Barra Pizzeria in Santa Monica. In spite of their terrible first-date movie choice, (Gone Girl), the first date led to a second, and so-on...

Mitch originally had an idea in mind for the proposal, but as he doesn't exactly have the best poker face, Corinne guessed his plan. Fortunately for Mitch, Corinne also has a terrible poker face, and he knew that she'd figured it out. Cue his "she doesn't know that I know she knows" moment, when Mitch pulled off the surprise of a lifetime. At Disneyland, days before the originally planned proposal, he surprised her by getting down on one knee and asking her to spend forever with him, just after the park opened, in front of the river and Tom Sawyer Island.
