In keeping with Texas regulations for COVID-19, we will still be having our ceremony and reception as planned! Both venues are very large and allow for plenty of space to spread out! Please bring your own mask if you would like to wear one. We will NOT be live-streaming the event but will post the video online after the videographer makes it available to us. We hope you can all join us for our celebration but we understand this is a difficult time for everyone. Wishing you all good health! -The soon-to-be Rehkamps
Like many people of our generation, we used a dating App called "Coffee Meets Bagel" as our Match Maker. We had our first date at Texas Roadhouse and we talked like we had known each other for several years. We decided to extend the evening and meet my sister and her friends at a near by bar for drinks. I drank a little too much and Mitch had to drive me home. Turns out Mitch wasn't a murderer (he definitely had the chance that night!) and we decided to go to brunch the following Sunday. By Christmas we were head over heels for each other but the USAF had other plans for Mitch. In April of 2018, Mitch was preparing to move to Japan. In June, he was stationed in Germany instead! I stayed in Texas (because it is hard to be a Speech Therapist in Germany if you don't speak German)! Some people thought we were crazy for staying together through 7 time zones and 5,500 miles between us, but we have spent the last two years traveling the world and getting to know each other better (via very long video chats). We are unbelievably blessed and excited to be entering into the sacrament of Holy Matrimony! We cannot wait to celebrate the official END of having to be apart with all of you very soon!
