Jason and Missy met in 2015, when they were working at the Church of the Highlands Cafe, both having graduated high school shortly before. They didn't work together often, but always enjoyed each others company. In August of 2015 Jason and Missy started Highlands College together and their friendship grew stronger, however the time was not right and they drifted apart. Only keeping up with each other through social media and brief interactions at church. Three short years later, Missy and Jason were back in the cafe together, and began growing a friendship stronger than before. In November of 2018 Jason asked Missy out for a date to grab tea, and the rest, well, you'll see.
On July 27, 2019, Jason took Missy out to a date at Cowfish, a local sushi restaurant in Birmingham. Little did she know, it would be their last date as boyfriend and girlfriend. They ate and talked and enjoyed a few drinks, while Jason tried to teach Missy how to hold chop-sticks. After dinner, Jason took Missy to grab dessert at a popsicle shop in the shopping center. All the while, Jason's close friend was setting up a scene up the road (thanks Hunter). After dessert, they hopped in the car and Jason surprised Missy with one last stop; a trip to the Helicopter pad where they had shared many dances since their first date. Jason walked Missy up the hill only for her to see lights strung around the Helicopter pad. He started playing the song "Greatest Love Story" and asked Her to dance. He got down on one knee and said "I'm gonna be your forever. Missy will you be my wife?" She said yes and now, she has a NEW title as His fiancee!
