Business casual, smart casual, or cocktail. (No jeans, please). It is highly advisable to wear shoes with rubber soles, as you will be walking down a ramp to the ceremony site. Ceremony guests who are seated on the foredeck of the yacht are requested to wear non-marking soles and no heels. Appropriate shoes can be purchased at David's Bridal shops nationwide.
The deck of the boat is made of teak, so high heels will scar the wood. Any shoes with non-marking soles may be worn on the boat. (Ask your shoestore salesperson about non-marking soles). Walking to the ceremony venue will require going down a gangplank to the dock and this can be slippery; high heels won't give you good traction going down the ramp. If you wish, you may bring shoes to change into for the reception.
The docks are very stable, and will not rock. There may be some water movement, depending on the weather. If you are concerned about seasickness, it is advisable to take medication in advance.
It is a policy that any child under the age of 12 wear a life jacket while on the dock. Life vests will be provided.
There is plenty of parking in the yacht club lot; it is a super short walk from the lot to the ceremony site (you will be able to see the boat from the parking area). If you happen to have a boat berthed at Coyote Point Marina, it is suggested that you park in the marina parking lot (the gated lot) to allow more parking for guests who are not familiar with the Coyote Point area.
If the weather forecast shows inclement weather, updates will be posted on this site.
