Our story began in the most ordinary of places—a bowling alley. It was April 2023 when we first crossed paths, and though it was just a fleeting encounter, it left a lasting impression. Enough to spark curiosity: “He’s cute… and he loves Portuguese!” - Mi “I’ve never been more impressed…” - Sam Almost a year later, something as small as a coffee break brought us back together. A simple message —“Coffee?”— became the beginning of something deeper. Coffee led to conversations, and conversations to moments. Those little moments turned into a connection that felt undeniable. A tour that wasn’t supposed to happen, a few piano keys played at just the right moment, words spoken in prayer and then echoed back in conversation—again and again, we found ourselves crossing paths. We began to realize there was something special happening… wondering if it was something that could have Jehovah’s blessing. Still, our journey wasn’t rushed. There were fears, hesitations, and another year of waiting that tested our patience and our faith. But like Jacob waiting for Rachel, we learned that true love is worth the wait. Through every doubt and reassurance, distance and closeness.. we learned that love is not rushed. It’s built on faith, consistency, and the willingness to wait for the right time. We learned to look to Jehovah for guidance at every turn. (Psalm 127:1) There were countless reassurances from Jehovah along the way, like little reminders that He was supporting us both: coffee shared with care, thoughtful words of encouragement from our incredible friends, and prayers that seemed to be answered in one another. Each moment, big and small, reminded us that love grows not only in grand gestures but also in consistency, patience, and kindness. Now, as we prepare to say “I do,” we look back in awe. What began as a chance meeting has become a story of faith and love, filled with laughter, answered prayers, and the joy of waiting for the right time. Every detail, every prayer, and every moment has led us here—ready to begin the next chapter of our lives together. This is the cliff notes version..
