We’re so excited for you all to join us in Italy! This remarkable city birthed the Renaissance, the Italian language, modern banking, and nurtured some of history’s greatest artists. Yet despite its grandeur, it remains wonderfully intimate and is walkable end to to end in ~25 minutes.

Transportation

If you are staying in Florence, renting a car is not recommended. Florence’s historic city center is a ZTL (Zona a Traffico Limitato), which means most cars are not allowed to drive through it. Access is restricted to residents, taxis, buses, and authorized vehicles, and parking is very limited. • Trains: Italy’s train system is amazing! Trenitalia and Italo are the two big ones. • Taxis/Rideshares: Uber isn’t widely used in Tuscany. Local taxis are the way to go if you’re not driving.
