Things To Do

If you’re arriving early and want to explore, Nelson has so much to offer! It’s one of the many reasons Ryan and Misa fell in love with this place. Here are a few of their favourite spots to do around town.

Baker Street

Baker Street, Nelson, BC V1L, Canada

Baker street is the main street in town, with lots of cafes, shops, and restaurants.

No6 Coffee Co.

511 Front Street, Nelson, BC V1L 4B4, Canada

Our favourite local coffee roaster. AND they do flights of coffee!

Pulpit Rock

Nelson, BC V1L 6J1, Canada

Looking for a quick hike to one of the best views in Nelson? Head up to Pulpit Rock! It’s a steep climb, but the view at the top is absolutely worth it. If you’re feeling ambitious and have a bit more time, keep going to Flagpole!

Ainsworth

Ainsworth, BC V0G 1A0, Canada

Take a scenic drive along Kootenay Lake to Ainsworth Hot Springs. Relax in the natural mineral pools and explore the unique cave hot spring. It’s the perfect way to unwind and take in the beautiful Kootenay scenery.

Marzano

153 Baker Street, Nelson, BC V1L 4H1, Canada

Favourite restaurant in Nelson. Great pasta AND pizza!

Cantina Del Centro - Nelson

565 Baker Street, Nelson, BC V1L 4J1, Canada

One of the first restaurants Ryan and I would frequent before we even moved to Nelson. Great (and strong) margaritas!

Broken Hill

479 Baker Street, Nelson, BC V1L 4H7, Canada

Great BBQ and whisky! (They have a sneaky little speakeasy under the restaurant. Opens after 9pm)

Jackson's Hole & Grill

524 Vernon Street, Nelson, BC V1L 4J1, Canada

Misa used to work here part-time when she first moved to Nelson while working as a draftsman. Great staff, a fun atmosphere, and some really solid bar food!

Frontier Athletics

920 Simpson Road, Nelson, BC V1L 4C1, Canada

Come visit the gym Ryan and Misa created!

Empire Coffee

616 Vernon Street, Nelson, BC V1L 4G1, Canada

Probably Ryan and Misa's go-to cafe in town. Their breakfast sandwiches are awesome!

Oso Negro Café

604 Ward Street, Nelson, BC V1L 7B1, Canada

Great local cafe and roaster. Their interior is unlike anything else in Nelson; it's beautiful!
