There once was a handsome lad from Vancouver named Fady. His heart had been touched by God and he sought a partner who was pure of heart and sought Christ as he did. There once was a beautiful lass from Chicago named Mirna. She was content with herself - all she needed was her Jesus, and she was happy <3. One day Fady's friends convinced him to attend an Orthodox retreat in Chicago. He had heard whispers that people often found their true love at these retreats, but he put this out of his mind - he told himself "I will be myself regardless of who I meet, and God will lead the way." Unbeknownst to Fady, Mirna was among the 200+ retreat attendants, doing her best to keep a low profile in order to avoid unwanted attention. The pair spoke for a few minutes during the retreat, nothing more than a pleasant and easygoing conversation. The seed, however, had been planted in Fady's mind. After all, Mirna was undeniably cute, fun, and had a STUNNING smile!!! On the last day of the retreat, Mirna watched as Fady participated in one of the game events. As she watched, she turned to her sister-in-law and said: "I'm going to marry that guy". After the retreat, Fady and his friends spent one final day in Chicago, exploring the city and he couldn't shake the thought of Mirna from his head. He invited her to join them on their last day, and they spent time talking and laughing. The two of them spent the following month talking for hours daily, getting to know each other, sharing genuine laughter, reading the Bible together, and enjoying every second of the journey. Eventually, Mirna got tired of waiting for Fady to make a move and said: "hey what's the deal? Are you into me or what?!", to which he replied: "heck ya girl!!!" He booked a plane ticket to Chicago to see his beautiful princess to seal the deal and start dating officially. The rest, as they say, is history <3 From the very beginning, what drew Mirna most to Fady was his genuineness - he talked to everyone the same way and without an agenda. From the very beginning, what drew Fady most to Mirna was "the boldness of her heart", as he put it. She was unafraid to be herself and let herself be seen for who she truly was - the beautiful daughter of the King. Let this story be a light to those who search.
