Question

Will there be transportation to and from the wedding?

Answer

Yes! There will be buses from the Mystic Seaport Museum - South Parking Area to the venue. Buses will leave at 3:40 p.m. sharp from the Mystic Seaport Museum South Parking lot, 50 CT-27, Mystic, CT 06355, https://maps.app.goo.gl/Kf7QctRahGp1uu2F8. Buses will return to Mystic Seaport at 9:00 p.m., and to The Port of Call (our afterparty venu) at 10:00 p.m. The buses will be bright yellow school buses that say "FirstStudent" on the sides. The Port of Call is within walking distance of downtown Mystic, as is the Mystic Seaport Museum. You can also catch an Uber/Lyft to the venue. Just keep in mind that Uber service can be a bit slower than in a major city. If you have any transportation questions, you're always welcome to ask us!!

Yes, there is ample parking at the venue.

What should I wear?

Answer

This info is also in the description of the event on the "schedule" page! Please wear formal attire with a garden party vibe-whatever that means to you. The wedding parties will be in black tie (or equivalent), and you should feel free to join them, but you are welcome to wear whatever feels best. Our ceremony will be outdoors and our reception will be under a tent, so please dress comfortably for the weather. Much of the evening will have some sort of flooring, but guests will need to walk over gravel or grass.

Are kids invited?

Yes! Your children should be on the guest list already, but if they (or a nanny/other help!) are not, please let us know.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m., so you should arrive a moment or two before then!

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Generally speaking, plus-ones should be included in the guest list already as you proceed to RSVP. We've tried to invite the long-term partners of all of our guests, but if we missed somebody, please let us know!

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Answer

Our caterers are happy to accommodate. Please list these when prompted by the RSVP page.

What do people who are elderly or who have disabilities that affect their mobility need to know (difficult terrain, staircases, special accommodations, etc)?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are outdoors, and portions will involve walking over grass or gravel. The venue has golf carts--if the assistance of a cart in getting from place to place would be helpful, please let us know!
