What are the chances that two strangers who both love Jesus, political science, dino nuggets, international travel, fluffy pups and deep discussions about music, would be placed in an apprenticeship together for two years? What are the chances that these two apprentices would also be sent to the Philippines together for work and see each other in a new light, serving and ministering on the field? What are the chances that these two friends would both begin to grow a love for spending time together, and both have a desire to get to know each other on a deeper level? What are the chances that this newly dating couple would, out of eight locations, both be placed to work in Dallas to serve for five weeks and have the most magical first dates? What are the chances that this seasoned dating couple understood the requirements of travel for work and supported each other from afar on over 15 international trips? What are the chances that this relationship, even though apart for so many weeks, grew so strong it led to a proposal on a mountaintop? What are the chances? We’ve come to realize—it was never about chance at all. Every step, every “coincidence,” and every crossing of paths was perfectly orchestrated by a God who writes the best stories. We’re filled with gratitude as we begin this next chapter, joining our lives together in marriage—trusting the same God who brought us together to lead us forward. With joy and love, Miriam & Luke
