Ask Calvin and Miriam their favorite food and the answer will be quick: a good burger. Hit up the original Hopdoddy in SOCO before/after doing some shopping in the historic district.

Calvin and Miriam spent many a date nights at this bungalow turned restaurant. They have a menu filled with asian fusion dishes AND killer Paloma.

Fresa's - South First

Wood-grilled Mexican fare, cocktails & more in a colorful space with a patio & takeaway window. The frozen avocado margarita is a must for a first timer!

Better Half Coffee & Cocktails/Hold Out Brewing

Better Half is a favorite spot for coffee and breakfast. It is a café with globally inspired fare, plus coffee, draft cocktails, wine, craft ciders, and beer. Hold Out Brewing is right next door and great for a burger, brews, and good vibes!

If you want to treat yourself to a fine dining experience, make a reservation at Jeffery's. They have arguably the best steak in Austin and impeccable service. All around a 10/10 experience!

This is one of Calvin's Favorites! Craft Italian fare, from wood-fired specialties to house-made pasta, plus wine in rustic-modern digs.

Josephine House

Josephine House is a cottage transformed into a quaint restaurant. If you're looking for an upscale brunch, this is the place to go!

Whisler's

This is the bar where Calvin and Miriam met for the first time and ended up spending four hours getting to know each other. Here you will find rustic décor, creative cocktails, a food truck, and a mezcal tasting room.
