Our story began in 2016, and by the time you are reading this, nearly a decade has passed. We met at a friend’s birthday party, where Miriam was, like many high school seniors at the time, being asked about her SAT score. Bishoy was assigned the task of apologizing on the friend’s behalf, and one Twitter DM later, a conversation began. What started as a simple introduction grew over the years as we stayed in touch and shared experiences, bonding over art museums, with a regular stop at Washington Crossing the Delaware, new restaurants (always give Miriam your pickles, depending on her mood she may cry tears of joy), and an unstated goal of eating our way through Manhattan. When we are not eating, we have filled the time with dozens of Legos and puzzles, with ongoing debate over who is better at which. On September 15, 2024, Bishoy planned a surprise proposal, or at least tried to, in our favorite city, New York. We cannot wait to celebrate our love with all of you. In one way or another, each of you is part of the fabric that makes us who we are. Pop the champagne, it's party time!
