How We Met

It wasn’t until my junior year of high school that I found out Nick existed, even though we had gone to the same school district our entire lives, and by this time, Nick had already graduated. Why our paths didn’t cross sooner, I’ll never know, but I am unbelievably happy that I found him. Our story began at the Agricultural barn at school where Nick had stuck around a year after high school to help out the AG teachers. We both had a passion for showing goats through FFA and I will forever love the Future Farmers of America organization for bringing me the love of my life. The first time Nick saw me in that barn, shearing my goat, in old jeans, an old t-shirt, hair in a pony tail and goat hair all over me, he leaned over to a friend and asked who I was and then went on with his business, just wandering where I came from. After that day, we started to see each other and talk a little more but it wasn’t until the day that his baby goat was born, that we actually started hanging around each other. That little baby goat needed a new home because Nick could no longer show so the AG teacher gave him a few options, but he already knew exactly who he wanted to give it to, me. That was the start of this love story. Yes, he hooked me with a baby goat. Our first “date” but not really a “date” in our eyes was taking Blaze (the baby goat) to the vet. After 10 months of caring for a little goat together and having an amazing friendship, Nick worked up the nerve to make us official and I, of course, said yes. ~pictures of our little goats are definitely in the photo section~
