A long time ago (Fall 2016) in a galaxy far, far away (In Cahoots, Fullerton) two strangers met not knowing that this chance encounter was going to change their lives forever. (Cue dramatic music) 
 It started out as a normal Tuesday night at In Cahoots. Kayla and I (Miranda) were standing outside with some of our other Disneyland friends complaining about work (what else is new?) Grant overheard our conversation and commented that he too was employed by the Mouse. We chatted for a while about how he was a parade float driver (SO COOL), and then we went our separate ways. 
We didn’t cross paths again for a few months... 
 In January 2017, the Main Street Electrical Parade was set to be coming back to Disneyland. I, being a HUGE fan of that parade, was very curious if Cast Members would get an advanced screening. I tracked down the “float guy” at In Cahoots to ask if he knew anything about it. He responded with, “I don’t know; why don’t you give me your number, and I’ll text you if I find out?” SO SMOOTH. I definitely walked right into that one. I decided to give him my number, but we never got that advanced screening. We began texting back and forth, and eventually Grant decided to ask me out. I turned him down... 4 times. I came up with various excuses, my favorite being that I was too busy preparing for our new puppies (Marv and Judy). He was definitely persistent, and after the 4th time, I decided to give him a chance. 

We quickly bonded over our mutual love for country music, Disney, musical theatre, Pokemon Go, The Office, AMERICA, Star Wars, and the Tiki Room. I didn’t think there was anyone else out there who could love the Tiki Room as much as I do, but I found him! We are so excited to finally be living in the same state, as I will soon be joining Grant in Florida. We can’t wait to continue our goal of visiting all 50 states together (we are currently at 7).
