“曳” is probably the first word you'd use to describe us growing up. Hi everyone, I’m Doris—the other mischievous, 曳 kid. These days, I work in tech and am pursuing a master’s degree with a concentration in AI. Even though Miranda and I are polar opposites in some ways (she’s more of a homebody who loves taking care of dogs, while I like risking my life doing sports), we somehow bonded over 21 years ago on a Friday night at good old Chinese school. Not long after, we ended up at the same church, where our mischievous—but unforgettable—childhood continued: i.e., spending hours making singing videos and finding change at home and church just to buy ice cream at the Rite Aid next door. Sorry Helene didn’t mean to copy you with the ice cream it’s just a core memory!

Hi I'm Helene! I'm in graduate school specializing in Robotic Motion Planning. In my spare time I rock-climb or go to spin class (all non-team sports, sorry Tyler). I also love to craft things -- crochet, knit, paint. It is not surprising that I met Miranda at Arts and Crafts camp in the 4th grade. After that, she was stuck with me since we ended up going to the same elementary school, junior high, and high school. I of course went to Miranda's family Kumon and my brother even worked there! Miranda and I spent a lot of our time watching It's Me or the Dog, drinking boba, and eating haagen dazs icecream.

I’m Emily, Miranda’s cousin! Having a cousin only 9 months older than me meant having a built-in friend for life. She has not only taught me everything I know about animals, but also modeled incredible compassion and selflessness. Growing up, I loved the summer staycations we spent in Davis so Miranda and I could hang out and even have sleepovers! We’d eat Melonas, ride our scooters, go to Vacation Bible School, play with their pet rabbit, chill in the pool, and, as we grew older, yap and laugh about our quirky, chaotic family. I’m a proud Bay Area native, working in tech (user experience) in San Francisco, and am always down for yoga, Warriors games, or travelling to a new city!!

Hello, my name is Heather! I like to crochet, hike, and spend time with my 2 cats. 2.5 years ago, I started working at Midtown Animal Clinic. Having no prior experience working in a veterinary clinic, I was incredibly nervous, to say the least. Then I was introduced to Miranda. She was so incredibly kind and answered any question I had, making me feel more like a friend than an outsider. Over time, we bonded over our love of animals and many, many game nights. Whether it’s chatting at work about Tyler’s knowledge of dog breeds (and what a Scrunchie dog is) or playing Codenames, we always have a good time.

Tyler and I met during our Junior year of high school. Our immediate bond came from our shared love for the game of baseball, but over time our friendship turned into a brotherhood as we shared not only hobbies and interests, but a love for God above all else. While we’ve shared many great times in life together, its hard to narrow it down to one moment. More often I think about the spring of our senior year. I don’t think there was a day that went by that we didn’t either shoot hoops in the school gym or hit in the batting cages before practice listening to our favorite music. In hindsight, I think we both wished we could drive like everyone so we could go off campus but I wouldn’t trade those days for anything! I am so blessed to have found my best friend in such an awesome man of God! Love you Pon!”

I first met and became friends with Tyler during our senior year of high school in 2016. We immediately bonded because of our love of sports, football and basketball and more specifically our shared love for the Golden State Warriors! We have been good friends since high school always catching up with each other talking about sports and every so often getting food, going to hoop and more recently going to Kings games when Tyler is able to hook me up! I have very much cherished and am grateful for having a great friend in Tyler for all these years. One of the best memories I have with Tyler that I’ll never forget is when we went to a Warriors home game at Chase Center in January 2022. This game was such a big deal because Klay Thompson made his first return from injury in over 2 years and we got lucky picking the exact game to go to. It was a great day hanging out with Tyler in San Francisco and then watching the game together at night. Besides this, I have always enjoyed getting to hoop with Tyler whenever we’ve been able to, they have all been great memories that I have cherished during our friendship.

Tyler and I met while we were in the same onboarding class for the Kings. Our friendship grew through giving him sales leads, going to church, grabbing boba, taking trips to Tahoe, playing fantasy leagues, injuring him in basketball, and so much more. No matter what city I lived in since we met, he and his family have always treated me like one their own. Our weekly bowling activities are some of my favorite memories together.

I was fortunate enough to meet Tyler in a Multimedia class at Cal Lutheran, where we would quickly bond over our shared passion for sports. The more I got to know Tyler, the more impressed I became by his calming demeanor and unwavering ambition for life. We’ve since both ventured into working in the professional sports industry and I could not be more grateful to have someone like him to lean on through the good and bad. Getting to see Tyler and Miranda’s relationship grow into what it has become has been a tremendous joy and I couldn’t be more honored to be included on their special day!
