FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We invite you to wear something stylish — semi-formal or cocktail appropriate.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited budget, we can only accommodate the guests listed on the invitation. We really appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Question

Are kids welcomed?

Answer

We love your little ones, but due to our budget and limited seating, we’re only able to accommodate a certain amount of people for our wedding. For this reason, we will only have kids attend that are in the wedding party. Thank you so much for understanding!

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, parking is free and the parking lot is right across the road from the entrance of the Wild Basin Lodge. Cars can stay parked there overnight but must be picked up the next morning by 10am.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM, so we kindly recommend guests arrive by 3:15 PM to get seated and settled in.

Question

Is the ceremony and reception inside or outside?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside with an amazing mountain view. Guests will walk about 3-5 minuets on a trail path behind the venue to the ceremony spot. The ceremony will be in the open with no shade. The reception will be inside as well as outside. There is a wrap around deck with heaters as well.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

In Estes Park at the end of September, you can expect cool, crisp weather with daytime highs in the 60s and nighttime lows in the 40s. While it’s relatively warm during the day when the sun is out, we recommend bringing a light jacket or cover-up for the evening chill.

Question

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

We did not reserve a room block, but under the tab 'travel' we made a couple hotel recommendations. There are also cabins available through Airbnb. https://www.airbnb.com/

Question

Is there transportation to and from the venue?

Answer

There will not be transportation to and from the wedding. We highly advise having driving arrangements made before the end of the night. As noted, your car can stay in the parking lot over night, but must be picked up at 10am.

Question

What if I can't attend?

Answer

As much as we’d love to see you, we completely understand if you’re unable to attend. If that’s the case, please be sure to RSVP ‘No’ so we can finalize our headcount. Thank you!

Question

Answer

Once you arrive at Wild Basin Lodge, please note that cell service will be limited or unavailable. We recommend having detailed directions on hand and arranging your transportation ahead of time.

Question

Answer
