Miranda and Kamal met while working together at Richmond BMW, following their passion for fast cars, greasy gears, and splitting ears. Zoom Zoom. Their shared love of music and the great outdoors sent them on adventures together, planting the seeds for what would be a lasting love.

Kamal had planned a romantic proposal at the top of Sharp Top Mountain, a favorite hiking destination of theirs. Unfortunately, due to Miranda's accident prone nature, she broke her toe in the week leading up to the proposal. Kamal improvised by planning a family trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway, stopping for a picnic and a few rounds of Uno. At an overlook with a beautiful view of the valley below, Kamal suggested he take a picture of Miranda with the kids. He got into position, stating an upward angle would catch the best view, and stealthily pulled the ring from his pocket. Miranda was caught completely off guard and only the joyous cries of the kids brought her back to Earth, where the tears immediately began falling. She was so shocked and overwhelmed with joy that it took her a moment to be able to say the word yes, before throwing her arms around his neck. It will forever be one of the happiest days of all of their lives.
