Jon and Miranda met for the first time on Court Street in Mrs. Cameron's preschool class. They sat next to each other for the class picture, but neither one remembers the other.
A decade later, Jon and Miranda progressed to more difficult studies in Mr. Stella's Honors Physical Science Class. As freshmen, they worked together to build a mousetrap car (which won first place). Miranda learned that Jon struggles to put balloons on CDs to make wheels, and Jon learned that Mrs. Boudreau bakes exceptional cookies!
About a week after Jon asked Miranda to be his girlfriend, they went on their first date to the West Springfield Cinemark and watched the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Miranda's Dad drove them both ways since neither had their license yet!
Every day for three years, Jon would pick up his and Miranda's (and Katie's) clarinet from the instrument room and bring it to them in the band room. The couple sat next to each other and played everything from Bohemian Rhapsody to Sleigh Ride before becoming Drum Majors together senior year.
After four years of owning the halls of Westfield High School, Miranda and Jon graduated together at Bullens Field. Graduating 1st and 3rd in the class, they gave speeches at the ceremony. Not surprisingly, Jon spoke about baseball and Miranda about ice cream.
Jon and Miranda spent several years spending every day together, but the couple went their separate ways for college. Miranda to UMass Amherst, and Jon to Bryant University. Both made the long trip to the opposite school several times. Miranda played in the Bryant Pep Band and on Jon's intramural softball team, while Jon enjoyed UMass sushi and fresh peanut butter.
After four years of spending time apart, Miranda and Jon celebrated their college graduation with a trip to Hawaii, their first of what will be many vacations together. They hiked Haleakala Crater, went to a luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center, and drank plenty of mai tais!
A day after returning from Hawaii, Jon and Miranda met Liam in Waltham to pick up the keys to their new apartment! While in Waltham, they both started their first full-time jobs while joining softball and volleyball leagues, exploring eastern mass breweries, and of course, spending lots of time at Fenway Park.
Miranda returned from work to find a scavenger hunt waiting for her in their apartment. It gave her the address to the Inn At Hastings Park in Lexington. Upon arrival at the wine garden, she saw an open laptop with a note that said "press play." After watching the video Jon had made her, he snuck out from around the corner and popped the question. They later shared a romantic dinner and stayed a night at the Inn.
After almost a year of living together, Miranda and Jon decided their lives weren't quite busy enough and brought home a new rescue dog named Ozzy.
Miranda and Jon will celebrate the start of their new chapter with friends and family. They can't wait to see you there!
