Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Miranda Gilbert and James Donaghy
Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us!

Sara Barry

Maid of Honor

Sara and Miranda met as summer associates at a Delaware law firm in 2018 and quickly became inseparable. They bonded over a shared love of couch time, great snacks, trashy TV, scouting out the next best cookie flavors, and lazy afternoons in Sara’s mini pool. They’re frequent game-night hosts—often alternating between their homes. Delaware simply wouldn’t be the same for Miranda without Sara. Sara and her husband, Cody, round out the crew with their two miniature dachshunds, Pepper, Pickles and Poppy.

Taylor Rudloff

Best Man

Taylor and James met at Widener University in 2011 at one of James's and Mike's famous house parties. Their friendship has powered through the highs and lows of their formative years. Whether it be working together as carpenters, scaling 40 story buildings over Sansom Street, or seeing their favorite musicians live, James and Taylor always find themselves on the same page. When James, Miranda, Taylor, and his lovely fiancé Mallory make plans, it is certain to be a thrilling and unforgettable night. You'll know Taylor by the howling laughter that inevitable arises when he and James are together.

Amanda Rock

Bridesmaid

Manda and Miranda’s parents were close friends long before both couples welcomed baby girls in 1994. As Miranda’s first friend, Manda grew up alongside her, and together they navigated the ups and downs of childhood and adolescence. Even after Miranda moved out of state, their bond endured. Today, Manda and her husband, Alex, share their home with three cats—Beary, Lomo, and Binx—and two dogs, Cassie and Panda.

Mike Corey

Groomsman

Mike and James first met in their search for housemates at Widener University. The two of them quickly became close friends and on/off again roommates for the next 8 years. Mike bore firsthand witness to James's and Miranda's blossoming relationship from the very beginning and undoubtedly played a massive role in welcoming her into their tribe. Aside from their shared love of cinema, literature, and billiards, Mike is easily one of the best friends a man can ask for. Just don't challenge him on the dancefloor if you value your reputation.

Danielle Schroeder

Bridesmaid

Dani and Miranda have been friends since sixth grade in 2005, when teachers affectionately dubbed their circle the “delinquent group.” The two were inseparable partners in mischief—most memorably hosting an epic party at Dani’s parents’ beach house—and they also bonded over a shared love of volleyball, playing together on a traveling team. Even after heading to different states for college, their friendship never wavered. Today, Dani and her husband, Colin, share their home with their beloved dog, Winston.

David Gaardsmoe

Groomsman

Dave and James, like so many others, met in college. He was so often at their house, he was frequently mistaken as another roommate (much to the landlord's chagrin). When the two of them aren't in a friendly competition of grilling, fitness, or basically anything else, they can be seen hiking in the woods with Dave's girlfriend and James's close friend Lizzie, their pack of pups, and soon their beautiful daughter Amelia.

Andrea Straughter

Bridesmaid

Andrea and Miranda met in sixth grade in 2005 and quickly became inseparable. Along with a tight-knit circle of friends, they earned the tongue‑in‑cheek nickname “the delinquent group” from their teachers. True to form, the two were partners in mischief, often sneaking out to meet friends or slip into parties. They later roomed together in college, and although their rebellious streak is now behind them, their friendship has only deepened. Today, Andrea dotes on her two cats, Inky and Nala.

AJ Euganeo

Groomsman

AJ and James have known each other for many years, but their friendship really rekindled after reuniting at James's birthday celebration in 2021. You can catch them bonding over their passion for shooting sports, metal music, and billiards. As one can expect from a tatted up, gun loving, motorcycle riding, guitar shredding, badass army vet, AJ is the kindest and most dependable friend you could find. Even if you ask him to watch your 10 week old demonic German shepherd puppy while you visit your fiancé's family over Christmas.

Jessica Fetzer

Bridesmaid

Jessica and Miranda met on their first day of law school in 2016, when they were placed together in Section IX. Their friendship took root in the library, where they often studied side by side and Jessica routinely shared her Trader Joe’s dried fruit and dark chocolate peanut butter cups with the sleep-deprived future bride. Over the next three years, they grew closer while navigating the trials and tribulations of law school. Though they now live in different countries, they have remained close. Jessica and her husband, Alex, share their home with Ollie, their sweet and delightfully goofy lab.

Daniel McLaughlin

Groomsman

Daniel is the oldest of James's nephews and nieces. Having lived in the same household together since Daniel's birth and a 14 year age difference, they've developed a special bond. Famously known as "The Snowman Guy," Daniel's passion for winter wonderlands is ever present in his signature look. This festive fashionista wouldn't be caught dead in anything but his frosty themed blue tracksuit, iconic snowman face paint, and a selection from his vast array of tiny hats. The groomsman party wouldn't be complete without him, and his infinite trail of glitter and candy canes is sure to really make this wedding sparkle!

Grace Greenberg

Bridesmaid

Grace and Miranda met in law school in 2016, but their friendship truly took off the following year when Grace unintentionally became the co-parent of Miranda’s cat, Gracie—who, for the record, is not named after her. By 3L, they were roommates, known for hosting cozy dinners with friends and spirited themed parties. Though they now live in different states, they still make a point to celebrate birthdays and major milestones together. No matter the distance or time between visits, their bond endures—and Grace, for her part, now dotes on an adorable Newfoundland named Kit.

Chris Reiter

Groomsman

Chris is James's brother in-law and true friend. Since marrying James's sister, Jen, when James was a young teen, they have had many adventures together. A devout music lover, Chris has shown James how to lift weights to Metallica and properly enjoy a rum and coke at a reggae concert. On more than one occasion he has used his linebacker physique to literally grab James by the collar and save him from trouble from State Street in Media to the Guinness drenched roads of Galway, proving that he has always had James's back.

Sarah Kaboly

Bridesmaid

Sarah and Miranda met as summer associates at a Delaware law firm in 2018. Their friendship deepened when they returned to the firm as corporate litigation associates, bonding over the shared highs and lows of life as baby lawyers. Though they have since moved to different firms, they still meet for regular brunches—mimosa flights included—and love hosting game nights with the maid of honor. Sarah and her husband, CJ, share their home with two cats, Oscy and Olive.

Josh Gilbert

Groomsman

Josh and James first met helping Miranda move to Trolley Square. When James got a call mid transit to the new residence saying that Josh mysteriously got lost 5 minutes post departure with the cat and dog and decided to take shelter at the nearest dive bar, James knew Josh was a unique individual. Since then the two have bonded on the slopes of the Rockies, basking in the frozen waters of Alaska, rolling squad deep in virtual reality, and in the depths of many meaningful conversations. Today, marrying Miranda wouldn't be complete without Josh by James's side, as the soon-to-be newly weds now both happily call him "Brother."

Jamie Camilli

Bridesmaid

Jamie and Miranda met through their mutual friend, Sara, in 2019. What started as concert outings and countless nights at Sara’s house laughing through terrible rom-coms soon grew into a deep bond. Jamie is now one of the bride’s most trusted and loyal friends. Like Sara, Jamie and Miranda are proud homebodies and unabashed snack enthusiasts. Jamie also has a small, yet surprisingly intimidating, dog named Lolita.

John Yaletchko

Groomsman

John and James met on the job as recently as 2023 but quickly became good friends. John, being an experienced hunter and James learning the craft on his own, was kind enough to invite James into the fold and have since been on many outdoor adventures together. Making a friend like John means you're a member of the family, and now James and Miranda are happy to share great memories with his parents, grandparents, cousins, and hunting buddies from the snowy family cabin in PA to the salmon rivers of New York. For a fun game during the ceremony, you can play "I Spy" and spot him out of the lineup by the mullet and itching desire to be in camo rather than a tux.

Charlene Gilbert

Mother of the Bride

Charlene is a devoted full-time mother to four children—Miranda and her three younger brothers—and a dedicated labor and delivery nurse. Although she lives in Colorado, she makes it a priority to call Miranda regularly and visit her in Delaware, ensuring the bride never feels too homesick.

Kathy Donaghy

Mother of the Groom

Kathy worked in the theatre and civil engineering departments at Widener University and raised five "perfect" children. Famously known as the best cook this side of the Mississippi, she now spends most of her days caring for, and making memories with, her vibrant grandchildren. Full of wisdom, guidance, and never-ending love, James (and now Miranda) are blessed to call her Mom.

James Gilbert

Father of the Bride

James—who, coincidentally, shares the groom’s name—served more than 28 years in the Navy as a nuclear engineer. After retiring from the military, he returned to civilian life and now works at a gas-fired power plant in Colorado, where he’s enjoying the perks that come with non-military life. Both James and Miranda are passionate Colorado sports fans, with a special place in their hearts for the Broncos. Though distance keeps them from seeing each other as often as they’d like, they more than make up for it when they do.

Jim Donaghy

Father of the Groom

Jim, a proud former steam fitter and marine reservist, worked as super intendant for a major union pipe fitting company in Philadelphia for many years. With intense energy and a ceaseless goal to brighten your day with a laugh, he is sure to make a lasting impression. After bouncing in and out of retirement, he now enjoys time with the grandkids and helping others. Truly the embodiment of selflessness, if you are ever in need of a helping hand, Jim will already be on his way. Four daughters may be enough for some men, but Jim couldn't be more thrilled to have Miranda as the newest member of their family.

Graham Gilbert

Ring Bearer

Grammy is Miranda’s one and only nephew, and he’s a lot like a Sour Patch Kid—first he’s sour, then he’s sweet. When he’s in a sour mood, he can be a bit rambunctious; but when the sweetness kicks in, he’s so affectionate it melts your heart. He loves Minecraft and playing with toy soldiers alongside his uncles, Matthew and Jacob, and he often calls Miranda “Aunt Sissy.”

Chris Reiter Jr.

Ring Bearer

Chris, also known as "Big Chris" as to not be confused with his father, is James's youngest nephew. Rumor has it he is secretly training to be Batman's future replacement. Under his vigilant eye, the ring is sure to be transported with great success and any foul party intent on interrupting the delivery will be dealt a swift and righteous defeat.

Nora Reiter

Flower Girl

Nora is James's youngest niece and is rumored to be a direct descendant of Queen Elizabeth herself. The two of them bond over their love of puzzles, hide and seek, all things spooky, and embarrassing Daniel. With her natural leadership, fortitude, and eye for detail, not only will the task of flowering the aisle be accomplished with perfection and grace, but we'll likely see the venue florist confounded yet willingly working under new management just in time for the ceremony.
