One hot summer day, at the world's largest single day sporting event, it was love at first sight! By chance, Miranda agreed to meet Evan and give him a behind-the-scene tour as a favor for a mutual friend, Mike (who also helped play Cupid!). Evan was mesmerized by Miranda's race cars and Miranda was mesmerized by his good looks and knowledge of how to cure shin splints. What was meant to be a 15 minute tour (Miranda was very, very strict about this as she was very busy working) ended up being about a two hour tour with a connection so strong even a stranger asked to take their photo as a couple. Instead, Miranda opted for a photo with Andrew Luck (Evan declined said offer). The race concluded and the two departed ways.... Being the gentleman Evan is, he politely asked Miranda if he could connect with her on social media and continue texting her. Miranda was so excited and immediately stalked Evan on social media and they text for hours. Later that night, when Miranda's parents asked how her work day was, she simply replied "I met my future husband!". We'll leave her father's reply out of this story and just say, Miranda was on her first flight to Kansas two weeks later and Randy has since very lovingly and proudly given Evan permission when he asked (at a Pacer's game with Miranda and she had no clue!) for her hand in marriage.
