Blake and I met several years ago through friends. We played board games together a few times but lost touch after that. Fast forward to last spring when I started going to a new church. It just so happened that Blake also went to church there! One day I left church and realized I accidentally took someone else's Yeti. I went back in to return the Yeti and Blake approached me to say hello. I said hi and then left almost immediately. I thought of him throughout the week and initiated a conversation with him at a cookout the next Sunday. We hit it off and talked for over an hour. We continued having conversations over the next several weeks and eventually he asked me out. We went on our first date the following week, made things official a few days later, and never looked back 😊

Blake and I planned to celebrate Christmas together on December 17th. We had dinner planned at the restaurant where we had our first date, then to my house to open presents, and finally to a friend's house for a game night. When we got to dinner we were seated at the same table where we had our first date. We had fun reminiscing and talking about the growth that had taken place since then. We then went to my house to exchange gifts. After opening our presents, Blake shared that he had one last gift for me. I opened the gift and it was a Yeti that said "Miranda Henderson" on it. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was an easy yes! After that we headed to our friends' house for a game night, which turned out to be an engagement party with a few of our closest family and friends. It was a sweet night and we are so thankful to the Lord for His goodness, faithfulness, and kindness in giving us each other.
