Adam and Miranda met Orientation Weekend at Johnson & Wales University in July 2013 but did not realize it until senior year. At the start of freshman year, Miranda had befriended almost the entire cross country team, including Adam. Adam was his typical reserved self and often ate meals and went out on the weekends with the cross country team and their mascot Miranda. They each dated "an appropriate amount of other people" and became closer as the years went on. Fast-forward to junior year, Miranda and Adam ended up in almost every single class together (by accident at first). They decided to enroll in the same classes for the rest of their JWU career to be dedicated group project partners. Adam chose Miranda because he "knew she would do the work on time". Miranda chose Adam because "he was a better cook and I was better at everything else." Adam got Miranda a birthday gift senior year which made her wonder if he wanted to be more than friends. He also asked her on a "date to Borealis Coffee" which actually turned out to just mean scoping out a place to take other dates [eye roll]. Miranda drove Adam to dates and bought him ice cream when he got stood up. Adam came over to replace Miranda’s windshield wipers and save her from a rogue squirrel that tormented her in her apartment. They hung out almost every day and every weekend. A week before graduation, after a few drinks and dancing with friends at Salon Bar, Adam finally worked up the courage to make a move. 4 days before graduation, Adam and Miranda felt that they couldn't go separate ways forever, and decided to make it official. All the friends shouted "FINALLY" in the comments of the social media post announcing the relationship, and here we are.
