The downtown area including Mission is nice to walk around. Lots of nice restaurants and shops.

Mission San Juan Capistrano, Landmark, Chapel, Museum and Gardens

Taking the Pacific Surfliner down to San Diego is one of our favorite activities! The train goes along the beach, and stops at fun places like San Clemente, Solana Beach, etc., so no need to go all the way down to San Diego if you don't want to. The train stop is in the heart of downtown, walking distance to the venue.
