Special Thanks to Alex Hamilton and Corey Mangold for encouraging Mason to go to the Cabooze on this fateful night, November 27th, 2019. Our story began on a cold evening at a local concert venue. As we were both enjoying the show, we caught each other’s eye and started dancing near one another. As the night progressed, we began talking. After the show, we went next door to continue chatting and spent the remainder of the evening getting to know one another. We both felt the immediate spark. We began texting the next day. From there, the conversations continued. Sarah invited Mason over for dinner a few days later and cooked her famous curry. We spent our first official date watching YouTube videos, dancing, laughing and learning about each other. After that first date, we started seeing each other regularly, going on walks, watching our favorite shows, and making dinners (we both love to cook for each other), to name a few of the activities we enjoy. We knew right away that this was something special. Then, our world changed forever, and COVID hit. Experiencing something so momentous together brought us so much closer together in a short time and ultimately made our relationship that much stronger. We were forced to spend time with fewer people, go out less, and find creative ways to enjoy a date night. And traveling to visit family was out of the question, so it was a while before we finally met each other’s family and friends. Through it all our love has grown and we have become best friends. We have had many fun adventures together, camping, traveling to Louisiana, South Carolina, Dominican Republic and 2 weeks in Europe. No matter what we do, whether sitting at home relaxing, or on a getaway, we have fun and we always laugh. The best trip by far was our 2 weeks in Europe where Mason proposed. He had an elaborate plan in place to propose on a bridge in Ljubljana, Slovenia but his plan was thwarted by thousands of elementary kids. On the day of the proposal, the town was over run by a local school event that hosted pop-up tents scattered throughout the city, including one on the very bridge he was going to propose. So, he called an audible (football term for changing the play) and decided to pop the question in our Airbnb so it was an intimate moment for us. After a walk and a tour of the town castle, we went back to the Airbnb for a quick break before our next outing and at that moment he got down on bended knee and asked the question that made Sarah the happiest woman in the world. As is life, many things don't work out as planned and we have learned to enjoy our time together regardless of what is happening. As long as we are together, happy and healthy, that is all that matters. In the end, we strive to enjoy the little moments together, be grateful for each other and for all that we are blessed with in this life - loving and caring family and friends, a safe and warm home and laughter. Every day we thank ourselves for the blessings we've been giving including each other. We hope you can join us on this special day to help celebrate our love for one another!
For those of you who have come to our parties, we are all about good food, lots of laughter and great music! Why would our wedding be any different? Our dream is for everyone to enjoy themselves with our backyard wedding vibe (in fancy clothes). We want to spend time with everyone, mingle, and just enjoy the time together.
