We met at the Georgia Tech campus during the spring of 2019 and hit it off. Devan had a pretty open day since he only had a 6 credit hour semester. Minh had a full 16 credit hour semester and only had a couple of hours before she had to go back to architecture studio. We spent our morning just chatting and sitting by the Tech Campanile, and learned how much we had in common, from our interests to our shared values. The second time we met, we couldn't stop talking - even if hours had passed! That was how we knew that the person sitting across from the other was someone special.

On the summer of 2024, Minh flew back home from her study abroad trip in London to make it just in time for the last couple of days of her family's annual family vacation in Florida. Devan waited for her at the Hartsfield-Jackson airport to take a flight together to Tampa. Unbeknownst to her, Devan had secretly planned for his parents to be in Florida for the proposal. Our families had a blast in Florida all the while we were only excited to finally be back together again! The next day, Devan, his family, and Minh's family altogether planned a romantic proposal by sunset at Clearwater Beach. It was such a surprise to see all of our loved ones rush out from behind the sand dunes, cheering with love and blessings after she said YES!
