Michael and Gina met serendipitously on Easter weekend in 2016 (after Gina gave up dating for lent!) through mutual childhood friends. They were soon dubbed as “Mina.” At that time, Gina was living in Manhattan and Michael was living in Poughquag, but they knew early on that they had found their “one and only.” Halfway between both worlds, they settled in Westchester, NY, where they began to build a life together. Gina is an art connoisseur, fashion enthusiast, and a lover of cooking and dining. Michael is an Ironman; a passionate triathlete, logistics aficionado, and sports devotee. Together they share a love for traveling, experiencing all types of cuisine, being with family and friends, working out, and most notably, their obsession with winter sports... which brings us to The Proposal. On every New Years since they started dating, “Mina” travels to Mont Tremblant, a quaint ski town in French Canada. On their 3rd year there, Michael proposed at midnight on New Years Eve amidst fireworks and snowfall. The date not only represents a tradition they had formed together, but it is also the date in which Gina’s mother passed away 4 years earlier, and Michael wanted to make a new, happy memory out of what had been a difficult date for Gina. For many reasons, “Mina” decided to have a simple, private ceremony in Italy. They chose Lake Como as the one place in Italy they both hadn’t been but wanted to go. They will be married on June 19, 2020 at a private villa on the Lake, and they look forward to celebrating with you when they return as Mr. and Mrs. Colucci! ps: the name “Mina” is of German origin meaning "love.”
