Maid of Honor
Ally (aka Al Dog) is my forever best friend and now a full-on British local. We met playing volleyball in high school and quickly turned it into an excuse to travel, hitting up beach tournaments in Huntington, San Diego, Hermosa, and Manhattan Beach. Some of our best days were swimming in Laguna and adventuring in Catalina. The summer before college, we backpacked Europe for five weeks - laughing, dancing, swimming, and making memories that still crack us up. That trip led to more adventures in Spain, France, England, Iceland, Portugal, and Italy. And yes, Ally convinced me to go skydiving… because of course she did. She was also there the night Marcus and I met at Goody’s, the best dive bar in town. No matter where life takes her, Ally has been there for all the big moments, and I couldn’t imagine this day without her.
Best Man
Grant and I have been best friends since I was 3 years old. We grew up just a few houses apart, which meant we were basically raised side by side. As kids, we spent our days building questionable bike jumps, mountain biking, playing street hockey, and, of course, eating as much food as possible. Grant has always pushed me to my limits—whether it was attempting bigger jumps or competing at literally anything. Not much has changed. These days, when we hang out, it’s usually outside doing something active—surfing, snowboarding, mountain biking, or golfing—and somehow he’s still pushing me to go a little harder. I’ve always known I can count on Grant, and I truly couldn’t imagine growing up with anyone else.
Bridesmaid
Dana has been by my side since kindergarten. We met at Marblehead Elementary and somehow never stopped choosing the same path - Shorecliffs Middle School, San Clemente High, and even the University of Hawaii at Mānoa… we stick together. We’ve done life side by side so lucky to grow up in San Clemente, and then taking all that fun to Oahu with hiking, snorkeling, and surfing. Also shark diving! Dana also showed up for me in a big way during a really intense chapter of my life, proving once again that she’s the kind of friend you can always count on. Now we’re both back in San Clemente, both engaged, and planning our weddings at the same time, which really fits the theme for us. I’m beyond grateful to have someone so kind and truly special standing by my side.
Best Man
Parker is my younger brother—14 years younger—so I’ve basically had a front-row seat to his entire life. I remember him as the little kid running around my fraternity house at the University of Oregon like he was one of the guys, fully committed to Duck football Saturdays and developing an Oregon fandom that somehow rivals my own. Now he’s all grown up and attending Cal State Fullerton, which still feels weird to say. Somewhere between those Duck games and today, he turned into a funny, genuinely kind, and all-around great human. He’s always known how to keep things light and make people laugh—usually right when it’s needed most. Watching him grow from that energetic kid into the man he is now has been pretty incredible. I’m really proud of him and lucky to call him my brother.
Bridesmaid
Sofia (aka The Italian Stallion) joined our lives as an exchange student at San Clemente High during our senior year (what a perfect year for it, right? Go Class of 2015!). Our friend group immediately embraced her, and it didn’t take long to realize that our ridiculously silly sides were the same! On my first trip to Europe post high school, Sofia’s family welcomed us into their home in Ivrea, Italy and then Sofia joined us for the rest of our Italy escapades. From that trip onward, Sofia’s been a nonstop source of laughter, adventure, and goofiness. Every time I see her, she brings out the absolute silly, joyful side of life, and I can’t wait for more girls’ trips with my travel buddy. Also, go listen to her music! Sofia Gobbi is an insanely talented singer-songwriter and one of the most incredible humans I know.
Groomsman
I met Antonio in high school through our shared love of surfing and a few classes together, and he quickly became one of my best friends. We bonded over surfing, traveling, and a shared appreciation for good food. From trips to Hawaii, Thailand, Vietnam, and Costa Rica, to countless snowboarding adventures, Antonio has been by my side for so many of life’s best moments. I’m grateful to have him standing next to me today.
Bridesmaid
Becca is my longest friend ever! Our moms were friends through surfing and surf contests, so naturally we grew up calling each other cousins and insisting our moms were sisters. We spent summers at Doheny learning to surf together, going to beach volleyball camp, and then spending hours on Mario Kart, Mario Party, or Animal Crossing on the GameCube… eventually graduating to Club Penguin. We also spent countless hours in Becca’s pool inventing the weirdest, most imaginative games imaginable, so strange that no one else would get them, but we would laugh until we cried. Those goofy, magical days shaped some of my favorite childhood memories. Now Becca is in Montana, but distance hasn’t stopped the adventures! Marcus and I have joined her snowboarding at Big Sky, and I know we'll be having more adventures together in the future! Hopefully a Montana camping trip?! :)
Groomsman
Vince is a fraternity brother from the University of Oregon, but it wasn’t until a trip to Sasquatch Music Festival at The Gorge Amphitheatre that we really became close friends. Spending a weekend camping, listening to incredible bands, and experiencing one of the best music venues in the world created a bond that’s lasted ever since. After college, Vince’s annual Tahoe ski weekends became something I truly look forward to every year. Trips to Lake Tahoe, shredding the slopes, and getting to know his extended family have turned into some of my favorite memories.
Bridesmaid
I’ve known Brookie since high school, but we really reunited after college when we both got our first post-college teaching jobs, teaching at an English Language Learners summer camp in 2019. It was intense! We had to plan lessons from scratch. Her focus was reading, mine was science, and use every strategy we knew to teach ELL students. Then, on alternate days, we were on full-day field trips all over SoCal, keeping the kids safe and entertained the whole time. It really brought us close! That summer, I also met Marcus, and Brookie was there from the very start - supporting, celebrating, and cheering us on. She’s the kindest person I know, with a heart of gold, and I’m so lucky to have her standing by my side on this day.
Groomsman
Chris “Gowdy” is the biggest Oregon Duck fan I know and we met through our fraternity at the University of Oregon, where we quickly realized we shared a lot in common — a love for the beach and a curiosity for trying new foods. Gowdy has been one of my closest college friends since the day we met, and we’ve shared countless memories together, from being front row for Foo Fighters at Sasquatch to cheering on the Oregon Ducks at more games than I can count.
Bridesmaid
I’ve known Shelby since middle school, but we really became close at the end of high school, and even more so after college. Every year, we’ve grown closer and closer, and I feel so lucky to have a friend like her in my life. Shelby is the kind of friend you can always count on, always has a perfectly timed pun ready, and is one of the most thoughtful and smart people I know. She’s also been there for so many milestones in Marcus and my relationship. We’ve shared countless Friendsgivings, birthdays, and holidays together, and she’s celebrated all the big moments with us. She’s always down for an adventure, too! We’ve traveled together to Iceland and Portugal, and I can’t wait for all the girls’ trips still ahead.
Groomsman
I met Cory at University of Oregon through our fraternity, and what started as classic college chaos quickly turned into a lifelong friendship built on holiday and summer break hangouts back home. I’ll take partial credit for introducing him to golf—what began as a casual invite to the course has since become one of our favorite hobbies. After college, we kept the good times rolling by living together for nearly four years in San Clemente, where we perfected our “culinary skills” and proved that we could cook better than most takeout.
Bridesmaid
I’ve known Sam since elementary school, and we’ve only grown closer over the years. Sam is the kind of friend who is always in your corner, fiercely loyal, and tough as nails when life calls for it. Sam has been there through basically every chapter of Marcus and my relationship. We've had countless game nights, holidays, and celebrations with friends. I’m so lucky to have her in my life and couldn’t imagine standing at the altar without her by my side.
