Like any good modern love story, ours began... on Hinge. Neither of us expected much from a dating app, but somehow, the algorithm knew what it was doing. Our first date was at Riverside Taphouse, where we ended up talking (and talking... and talking) until the bar closed. Turns out, when two people who love to talk meet, time becomes very optional. Somewhere between laughing at each other's stories and debating who talks more (spoiler: still up for debate), something just clicked. We still go back to Riverside Taphouse every year on our anniversary, and remember the excitement and nerves of the first date and how it turned into something so special. Since then, our relationship has been one adventure after another. We’ve taken countless ski trips, soaked up the sun at the lake, and turned everything from board games to who walks out of the gym faster into a full-blown competition. We're both pretty competitive, which makes life fun... and occasionally intense. But no matter what, we’re each other’s biggest supporter. Fast forward four years, we took a trip to Savannah, GA—Kyle planned the most magical proposal at the iconic fountain in Forsyth Park. It was romantic, thoughtful, and everything we could have dreamed of. Now, we’re beyond excited to celebrate our love with all of you—our favorite people who have supported, laughed, and adventured with us through it all. We can’t wait for a future full of love, more travels, friendly competition, and probably too many ski trips—together as The Mimkens!
