Our paths crossed in Chicago in the fall of 2014. We finished graduate school and were focused on starting our careers in a new place. After our first conversation, we surprised each other with how much we had in common (and didn’t) and Mimi was drawn to Quentin’s outgoing personality. Quentin was attracted to Mimi’s brains and an appreciation of the little things in life. Chicago is where our journey together started and the rest is history.

We were supposed to take a trip to San Diego in early April… Well, things changed. We wanted to do something we both enjoyed and travel to the beach and see the San Diego Zoo but we got stuck in the middle of Texas. Rather than being down, we realized we had found something not many people find in life: partnership. Pandemic or not, we got engaged this day and decided that whatever challenges we’d face in the future we’d face them together.
