Flight
You will fly into Denpasar which is Bali's capital. We do not recommend that you stay in Denpasar! There are many more beautiful places to explore on the island.
Hotel
The wedding ceremony will be held at the Pantai Lima villas near Pererenan Beach in Canggu. There are many hotel options and villa options nearby that are walking distance. We recommend that you explore options nearby on hotel.com, booking.com, or Airbnb. Pricing starts at <$50/night for more simple accommodations. We personally really enjoyed the private villa experience (usually with private pool) while we were in Bali. These villas generally start at $100/night
Travel Note
Make sure your passport is > 6 months from expiration date before you fly! That means good till at least March 2025! Bali does require a Visa to enter. You can get them online or upon arrival at the airport. We found that the visa website is super difficult to navigate and had no issues just getting our visas on arrival.
Travel Note
We rented a scooter in Bali and had a great time! This is a bit chaotic and the Balinese drive on the left, so not for everyone! Arranging a cab is very easy. Do have cash on hand to pay for fare. If you're considering driving in Bali some websites recommend an international driver's license. Mimi insisted that we get one, but Nathan wants to mention that nobody ever asked to see it.
Travel Note
We recommend exchanging some USD to Balinese IDR, and there are tons of cash exchanges all over the island. Exchange rates are almost always better outside the airport, though you may want a little cash on hand to pay for your first cab ride. We recommend buying a SIM card at the airport upon arrival. You can get a weeks' worth of data for around $10, cheaper than most international phone plans!
