Yes, the dress code is beach formal (formalwear adapted for sand, sun and sea breeze).

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Yes, we recommend that all of our guests rent a car, or at least coordinate with other guests to have a car at your disposal. The island is not large, but a car is a necessity to be able to enjoy it fully. We would only recommend going without a rental car if you did not intend on leaving your resort. We highly recommend renting through Rad Rides Kauai over any other company as the owner is incredibly helpful and their cars are very well maintained. However, Turo (the phone app) is also a great option. There are several big-brand rental car companies at the airport, but please keep in mind that depending on the day/time of your arrival, these can get quite busy. (Pro tip: If the rental car line is long at the airport, you can sign up to be a preferred member while you're waiting and skip the extra long line!)

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, and the 1 Hotel is valet only. We highly encourage our guests to pre-schedule an Uber to and from the venue if they are staying far away, though!
