FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For Women: Formal - Think Oscars Red Carpet For Men: Formal - Jacket encourage; Tie not required.

Question

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors at the back of the property of The Manor at 12 Oaks

Question

Is the reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both. One of the biggest allures of the venue is that it is a large two-story house with a massive brick-paver patio. The patio is equipped with a fire pit, brick pizza oven, overhang where the dance floor will be, and a spacious outdoor area where the reception will take place. The house is also open for the reception which creates a true "house party" feel. In the event of weather, the venue has a custom tent that covers the entire patio, but let's hope we don't need to worry about that :)

Question

If I don't stay at the Hilton DoubleTree and want to stay at another hotel or AirBnB, can I still get transportation to the venue?

Answer

Yes! Please just arrive 15-20 minutes early to the Hilton DoubleTree. We will have plenty of available spots!

Question

What day should I arrive?

Answer

We are asking that all of our guests arrive by Friday evening. Wake up Saturday morning and enjoy the Riverside Arts Market, go get a beer at Intuition or Aardwolf, and grab some tacos at Tacqueria Cinco before you get ready for the wedding. Everyone is more than welcome to arrive Thursday at any point and attend the Welcome BBQ, although this is purely optional.

Question

Will other travel be available to the venue?

Answer

The Manor at 12 Oaks is in a very rural area of Greater Jacksonville. While there shouldn't be an issue getting to the venue via Uber/Lyft, we are very concerned about the ride options back from the venue to your final destination. Please note that this event will be an open bar and we encourage all guests that plan to consume alcohol to NOT drive their personal vehicle to the event.

Question

What will the weather be like in Jacksonville this time of year?

Answer

Your guess is as good as ours! But we expect the heat and humidity to start subsiding by this time of year and it should be anywhere between 60 to 85 degrees. It doesn't typically rain a whole lot in the late Fall, so fingers crossed it will be a beautiful Florida evening!
