Mimi & Chandon

    Our Story
    Our Very Best People.
Greenery Banner

Our Very Best People.

Authored in the words of the Bride and Groom.

Bailey Shearon

"I didn't like her at first, but then she found me crying."

Maid of Honor and Mimi's best pal. 50 shades of different than the bride, but they're okay with it. Committed Road Tripper, Enthusiastic Encourager, Friendship Backer, Hometown Visitor. Asks questions, feels deeply, and pushes Mimi to do the same. Once pretended to be engaged so Mimi could shop for wedding rings without being the center of attention. Not even a little bit of a challenging position for Bails.

Chaleece Leckron

Editor's Note: There is no editing. Chandon says good words.

There is very little justice I could do to sum up the impact my sister has had on my life. I wish I could walk a day in her shoes to know what it's like to be so strong, courageous, and compassionate. I want to say she got all of her best qualities from growing up with me, but she took goodness and grace and amplified it to an extreme I've only, as of yet, been able to aspire to. I'm far from being the only person who has been inspired by her - the influence of Ginger Juliet is far reaching, to say the least - and I'm so very lucky to have her as my best lady.

Kayla Belle

"I can feel tears in my eyeballs."

Decided to be friends with Mimi after she saw her leave a group text welcoming new staff to Shelterwood. Truth telling, deeply loyal friend of the bride. Listens well and values her people. Does not fear confrontation because she understands the depth of friendship waiting on the other side. Justice Warrior, Heart Holder, Closet Goofball, Abandoned Bus Camper. Speaks sign language with Mimi just for kicks.

Ben Hammel

He supports people well and loves them in a challenging way.

The Papa Bird who tucked Chandon under his wing when Chan first arrived at Shelterwood. Approaches life as one big adventure. Wrestler. Climber. Challenger. Father to Baby Toes. Brings good board games to a party.

Anna Reid

"I want to learn to honor people as well as she does."

Champion of Mimi and Chan from day one. One of the few who wrote letters when Mimi was at camp, without Mims even having to ask. Silly, Weirdo, Intentional, Loyal. Becomes uncomfortable for the sake of other's comfort and security. Always down for a good scary movie. Easiest human to scare, and it's worth it every time.

Mitch Fenske

"He has helped make me tenacious in achieving my goals."

Formerly known as "that guy who works at IBEX." Current catalyst for growth in Chandon's life. Climber. Friend. Encourager. Watcher of all the same Animes as Chan.

Jaime Cox

"We. Love. Jaime."

Mrs. Sister. Kevin's wife, Wesley's mom. Sharer of wisdom, direct communicator, loving challenger. Strongest kindness, kindest strength. Torchbearer for Mims to follow. If they lived closer, she and Kevin would be mentoring Mimi and Chan at Mimi's persuasion. Makes a real cute kid.

Nick Shepherd

"I felt called to know Nick."

Peace Sharer. Kind, patient spirit. Non candy-coater, never crude, always sincere. Confidant. Climber. Sherlock Holmes Marathoner.

Lauren Fletcher

"She's just the coolest human."

Sister of the bride. Rider of Mimi's wavelength. Intensely supportive, come hell or high water. Consistent, compassionate, holds hope and loves hard. Keeper of Little Marilyn, on the softball field or the beach, guiding her into who she is now. Deeply influential, to more than just Mimi. Says "thank you" in unison with her sister when people say they look alike

Casey Mack

"His testimony... has positively shaped who I am today."

Exemplary Big Brother. Mentor whom Chandon most wanted to emulate. Compassionate. Others centered. Positivity Curator. His heart is embroidered on the sleeve of all his tie-dye shirts.

Wesley Cox

Ring Bearer

Recently achieved his Ph.D. in identifying farm animals. Enjoys putting his hands in his pockets and looking like a fully grown man, thus making his family sad. Proud owner of White Eyes. Will absolutely be the cutest person in attendance at the wedding, including but not limited to the Bride. If anyone can bear the weight of the two rings to rule them all, it's him.

Gwen Leckron

Flower Girl

Future President of the planet of Earth, Gwen balances her day between finishing her thesis on solving world hunger while simultaneously meeting her Girl Scout cookies sales quota. (Don't forget about her gluten free options.) Having mastered the art of big sisterhood and finished her first autobiographical novel entitled "Quality over Quantity," Gwen takes a break from her busy life to decorate the aisle of Mimi and Chandon's wedding as their most distinguished flower girl.
