Important Travel Information
Beginning on May 7, 2025, the U.S. federal government will require your driver’s license or ID card to be “Real ID” compliant in order to board a domestic air flight. A passport or passport card, or a DHS trusted traveler card (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST) may be used in lieu of a “Real ID” compliant license. Find and visit your state’s driver licensing agency website to see what documentation is required to obtain a “Real ID” license. A “Real ID” license has a star marking at the top right.

For Travel to Canada
For crossing the border into Canada and going through Canadian customs, you will need a passport, a passport card, a New York State Enhanced Driver’s License or a NEXUS card. A “Real ID” compliant driver’s license is not acceptable identification for entry into Canada.

Local Transportation
Limited shuttle services are provided by Pillar and Post between the hotel and the Heritage District. A note: Parking in the downtown Heritage District can be difficult at this time of year. If you are unable to take the shuttle, we suggest Uber or Lyft; or walking from The Pillar and Post; or carpooling.

If you're planning an overnight stay at Niagara-On-The-Lake while attending the wedding, we can't stress enough the importance of making your hotel reservations as early as possible. The month of August is peak tourist season in Niagara-On-The-Lake. It is an extremely popular vacation destination, and hotels are fully booked months in advance. Also keep in mind, the currency exchange rate at present is very favorable for the American dollar vs. the Canadian dollar. But this rate can fluctuate over time; a strong U.S. dollar today may be worth less in the coming months. If at all possible, pay for your accommodations in full at the time the reservation is made.

For your convenience, we have reserved a block of rooms at The Pillar and Post Inn & Spa at a special rate. Reservations can be made by going to the hotel’s website at http://www.vintage-hotels.com/reservations.htm. Enter the reservation number 3882860 in the “group ID box” of the booking screen. You can also contact the hotel’s reservation department at 1-888-669-5566. Identify yourself as an attendee of the Werner/Seefried wedding. Reservations for the Pillar and Post Inn & Spa must be made by June 15, 2025.

This facility features dormitory-style lodging. Each unit consists of two bedrooms and one private bath & kitchenette. It's a simple apartment hotel that is very well-kept, fairly basic, and quite reasonably priced. Twenty minutes from Old Town NOTL.
