FAQs

We know not everyone is familiar with New York City, and Queens as well, so we wanted to make sure we have plenty of information available for places to go, what to eat, and how to get around town. We will have a downloadable google map with some of our favorite and most recommended spots for you to visit in the days surrounding our wedding on Sunday.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 28th, one month to the day, so we can make any adjustments to any standing reservations.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Updated 5/27 - Please arrive NO LATER than 11:00am ready to enter the Stadium. We will update here with which entrance to meet by and will email everyone specific instructions and a graphic with the entrance marked. We will have two coordinators we've been working with internally with the Mets that will bring us in a specific entrance into the stadium, and will bring everyone to the space where the ceremony will take place. We cannot guarantee you will be able to get in if you arrive after our group has been brought in.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered through our website provider, Zola and through Sur La Table. We are also happy to accept AirBnB gift cards and direct funds for our honeymoon and future savings.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Please let us know so we can help make arrangements within the stadium!

Question

What's the best way to get around in Queens? From Queens to Manhattan?

Answer

Queens is extremely walkable, and there are rideshare bikes and e-bikes available to rent through the Lyft app. Long Island City, where our hotel is located, is also exceptionally well connected to various train lines running south to Brooklyn, west into midtown Manhattan, east out to Flushing and Citi Field, and north into Astoria, a lovely neighborhood with plenty of great food, drink and museums. We recommend downloading the CityMapper app onto your phone and using it's direction function as well as the map of the subway, CitiBikes, walking directions and ferry information.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend taking the 7 train from Queensboro Plaza or Court Square in Long Island City, both nearby to the hotel, to Citi Field. It's a direct and very easy train ride. From the baseball game to the reception, we will have a bus for transit into the city directly to As Is in Hell's Kitchen. If you'd prefer to take public transit, it's also an easy train ride on the 7 train to the E train.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Fun Cocktail! It's baseball - it's summer! It's a fun day! We have access to air conditioning throughout the day, including our section during the game is air conditioned, so our main recommendation would be to wear footwear you know you will be comfortable in all day in and going up/down stairs in a stadium in.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Citi Field has paid parking lots which it's best to reserve in advance. Our reception at As Is has street parking available first come first serve.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction that we are not already aware of, please let us know with your rsvp, or contact one of us directly.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation will indicate if you have a plus one.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a hotel block at Hotel Z, in Long Island City, Queens. Please note the World Cup will be playing at MetLife Stadium in NJ the same weekend as our wedding, so expect most hotels outside of our block to be upcharging significantly or be sold out. We would recommend going through our reserved block.
