We’re getting married!

April 17th 2025 is our five year anniversary!

Flashback to 2020…I was unexpectedly home early from college. Chris had just moved into his first apartment above Ally’s hair salon. We connected online and met for the first time on April 17th. He invited me over to make tacos. We talked and laughed but time got away from us. I didn’t leave until 6pm the next day. Before l left Chris said “So when can I see you next? Tomorrow? ”….Three days later he made me a key to his place. With this exciting new connection and the world at a standstill, we found ourselves spending all of our days together.

We booked a trip to Aruba to celebrate our fourth anniversary (or so I thought). We flew in early to enjoy the day. Chris told me dinner reservations were at 6:30. Once we were dressed and ready, he suggested we take a walk by the beach. As we got closer to the water he began to ask “isn’t this nice?” I think he asked five times before making an unusual over-the-head arm stretch (to queue to local photographer). He got on one knee and asked me to marry him. People cheered in the background as we embraced. After a sunset photoshoot we went to dinner at 7:30! An intimate separate space with champagne and personalized dessert. To top it all off there was a bouquet of roses and a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the room. Chris was finally able to spill all he did to make this an unforgettable moment in our lives. We spent the rest of our vacation swooning over our new Fiancé titles and planning for our future. PS. Thank you to everyone that kept the secret, as Chris says he couldn’t tell me, so he had to tell all of you!
