Nothing Fancy... Just Love!

We met when we were just five years old—two kids without a care in the world. His mom and my grandma were friends, and when she needed someone to watch him, he came to stay. From that moment on, he wasn’t just a visitor—he became my best bud, my little partner-in-crime. We’d laugh, play, and share those simple joys only kids understand. Every summer, he’d head down South to be with family, but like clockwork, he'd always come back in time for school. It became our rhythm—his seasonal absence, and the excitement of his return. Until one September… he didn’t come back. Just like that, he was gone. We saw each other once after that, a quick moment that felt like a whisper of the past. Then time did what time does—it stretched into decades. Thirty-plus years passed. Life happened. And then, out of nowhere, God did what only He can do—He brought us back together. No warning. No fanfare. Just divine alignment. Like picking up a book where the pages had been paused for far too long.
