Jönköping
Jönköping is the city where we suggest all of our guests stay and where we will be hosting our welcome event. The city is only about 30 minutes away from the wedding venue and we will be arranging transport from here. It’s a relatively small city but you will be able to find lots of restaurants and cafes there, offering traditional Swedish fare (such as kebab pizza). There are some lovely parks and a lot of natural beauty around the area if you fancy being outdoorsy. Or, if you are feeling really crazy, you could visit the matchstick museum!
Ryfors Gammelskog
An ancient forest and national reserve for those who want to enjoy the Swedish nature!
Göteborg
For those who wish to explore the birthplace of Olivia McCue, you can do so by roaming the city streets of Gothenburg. It’s famous for its trams, Liseberg amusement park and some enormous kanelbullar (cinnamon buns). We recommend visiting Haga old town for some cosy cafes and shops. Here, you can find a great Mexican place with frozen margs called Mucho Macho, among other great restaurants. The city also offers some great vintage shopping!
