Sayulita is a small town in Mexico along the Pacific Ocean at the southern end of the state of Nayarit. It is 25 miles north of the Puerto Vallarta Airport - approximately 1 hour drive. This blog is a great resource on breaking down the town of Sayulita into zones on a map and recommendations on where to stay, hotel vs airbnb, etc. https://whereandwander.com/mexico-best-surf-town-sayulita/
We recommend staying in Sayulita, where the festivities will take place. The center of town is lively and can be loud late into the night, so we suggest looking for accommodations on the North or South side of town. The farther you are from the center, the quieter your stay will be. Check out Airbnb and SayulitaLife.com for small and large group rentals! Punta Mita is also an option for those seeking a luxury resort experience; please plan for an additional 25-minute drive to reach our venue in Sayulita.
Sayulita is very walkable, and most places are easily accessible on foot. Golf carts, electric scooters and ATVs are a fun and popular way to get around town - these don't need to be rented in advance, there are plenty of street vendors to choose from. If renting a car works better for your group, that is always an option too.
Shuttle pick up and drop off will be provided for the wedding day. More details to come on this!
We advise to grab pesos at your local bank before arriving in Sayulita as it's a small town with only one bank and limited ATMs, pesos run out quickly here during peak season. Most places accept card but be prepared for cash-only establishments.
This was a hard decision for us as we adore your children! Our wedding event is adults only. If you choose to bring your children to Mexico, we would love to see them at the Welcome Party on Thursday!
