On a cold night during Martin Luther King Jr. weekend 2019, Milly, a New Yorker (with a South Florida heart and dance moves), walked into Freshkills Bar in Brooklyn. There she met Erik, a New York City newcomer, brought to the city to fulfill his hopes and dreams. There was no first date awkwardness. With their eyes locked on each other, they talked for hours about everything under the sun -- from love to travel, politics and freedom. That night, she taught him "Ayibobo," a Haitian term for when the wonder and magic of the world is in sync. It explained how, while sitting across from each other for the first time; something felt right, safe, and exciting from deep within. As they frolicked around the city that evening, each of them at times, would say to themselves, Ayibobo. Hallelujah. And now (three years after their blissful first date), they wish to commit to live, learn, and love each other more each day. The soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Erik Crew would be honored to be surrounded by your love and support, as they exchange vows and embark on their journey together.
