Whenever you like! We will be arriving the morning of Tuesday, March 8th. We will probably be busy the first couple days before the wedding but we will try our best to connect with everyone beforehand.
We will be staying at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. There are a few Outrigger properties in the area. But feel free to stay wherever you like. If you would like to stay at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort, use the promo code WEDDHAWAII for a discounted rate.
Unfortunately, no. We love your little nuggets but the reception location is on the smaller side and it is partly located on the pool deck so we don’t feel it would be safe for the little ones. We are working on finding sitters for those who need them. Duke’s is located on the property at the Outrigger Waikiki so if you are interested in hiring a sitter, it may be a good idea to stay at the Outrigger to be near your kiddos just in case.
We will be having a pre wedding happy hour on Thursday, March 10th at 5pm at the Maui Brewing Company. It is located at 2300 Kalakaua Ave. It is across the street from the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. Appetizers will be provided.
The ceremony will take place at 3pm in Waimanalo, which is about a 45 minute drive from Waikiki. We have arranged for shuttles to take everyone to and from the ceremony location. It is a beautiful drive so it's like a mini tour of Oahu! The shuttles will return to the Outrigger Waikiki Hotel around 5pm. You will have about an hour to freshen up or grab a Mai Tai at Duke's Barefoot Bar before the reception. The reception will start at 6pm. It is located at Duke’s Waikiki which is on the property of the Outrigger Waikiki Hotel. Check the “Schedule” page of this website for more detailed information.
We have arranged for shuttles to take everyone to and from the ceremony. It will take about 45 minutes to get to the ceremony location in Waimanalo. The shuttles will depart the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort hotel promptly at 2pm so make sure to get there a little early. There is limited parking available at the site so the shuttle will probably be your best option.
After returning from the ceremony, you will have about an hour before the reception begins. At 6pm, the guests will head down to Duke’s for a cocktail hour while the bridal party takes pictures at the beach. A family style dinner will be provided. Last call will be 9:30pm. Duke’s requires everyone to be off the premises by 10pm sharp so we are looking into after party locations within walking distance of the Outrigger Waikiki. 🥂
Typically the high is 82 with a low of 67. There is always a chance of rain in Hawaii but it usually comes and goes. We do have an indoor area secured in case there is prolonged rain.
Think “Beach Chic” or “Beach Cocktail”. The ceremony will take place at 3 pm so it may be pretty hot at that time. We want everyone to be comfortable. If you are like the groom and think anything less than 75 degrees is cold (Yes, the same guy who used to live in MA 😂) then maybe bring a light sweater for the reception.
As of now, Hawaii is requiring all guests of weddings to be fully vaccinated. They are still requiring unvaccinated travelers to have a negative test within 72 hours of arrival. You will need your vaccination card to get into restaurants and attractions on the island. We will do our best to keep everyone updated on the latest restrictions. For current Covid guidelines, please visit: https://hawaiicovid19.com/travel/ In the meantime, GET VACCINATED & BOOSTED!!! Love, Nurse Jamie ;)
We understand that not everyone can make it and you will be missed! Here is a link for the live stream. It will be 3pm Hawaii time. https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.wedhawaii.com/chris-and-jamie&sa=D&source=calendar&ust=1647371273266526&usg=AOvVaw0k3XUr2u_CCPA8DoWZ87rA
