Covid Updates

Yikes

Hello friends and family! We regret to inform you that due to current Nevada state regulations, the ceremony and reception have been limited to 50 people max. Because of the size of both of our immediate families, the guest list has been limited to immediate family, bridal party, and a few close friends. If you are unsure if you should still come to the wedding, please feel free to reach out to Rebecca at (775) 427-4316 or Adam at (775) 427-5309. We are truly sorry to do this but it is for the safety of all involved. Thank you for understanding.

Our Story

Spring 2011

Churchill County Junior High School. Rebecca was in 7th grade, Adam was in 8th. It was the National Junior Honor Society induction (because they're smarties). The induction ceremony had current members (8th graders) walk the new inductees (7th graders) down the aisle of the high school auditorium. A mutual friend decided that Adam and Rebecca looked cute together and made him walk her down the aisle. A few short years and a growth spurt (on Adam's end) later, both of them were at the high school. They both had joined the Academic Team (still smarties) and gradually had some conversations during practices and at competitions. Crushes formed. Adam was in band and Rebecca was in orchestra, so of course it was forbidden (not). Adam, now a Junior, was in Japanese 3 and Rebecca, a sophomore, was in Japanese 2, which were at the same time in the same room, which meant that they could steal glances at each other while ignoring the teacher. At the end of the 2013-2014 school year, Adam asked Rebecca to sign his yearbook, sitting in that Japanese classroom. She wrote a short message and signed her name... hesitated... and then wrote her phone number, instructing him to text her if he needed someone to play tennis with (although she's terrible at tennis). Their first date was June 18, 2014, and that high school crush quickly turned into high school puppy love. On July 3, 2014, they were officially boyfriend and girlfriend. Cute, right? The next school year was filled with love notes on car windshields, dates to Sonic, and sideline support at tennis matches and soccer games. At the end of the 2014-2015, Adam walked Rebecca down the auditorium aisle for the National Honor Society induction. Now, 9 & 1/2 years after they first walked down an aisle together, Adam and Rebecca will walk down an aisle as husband and wife.

Adam According To Rebecca

Adam is my best friend. I couldn't have dreamed up a better partner if I had tried. He really is the whole package - wicked smart, handsome, funny, and incredibly compassionate. I've never met anyone who is more considerate of others than Adam is. He lifts me up. (Spiritually, emotionally, and mentally, that is. Although he does pick me up a lot because I am kinda small, so I guess physically too.) He gives me constant support to chase my dreams and do what makes me happy. Whenever I get worried or overwhelmed, his level head and kind words give me the strength I need to face the day. Adam just finished his Masters in biotechnology this spring. (Yay!) I like to brag about him because I'm so ridiculously proud of him. He put in so much time and effort and he has already accomplished so much. His sheer drive to work hard is incredibly inspiring. He makes me want to be a good student and a hard working employee (which I totally am already, obviously.) He makes me want to be a better person in every way imaginable. Plus he thinks I'm cute. I know that no matter what life throws at us, as long as I have Adam and he has me, we're going to get through it and life is going to be incredible.

Rebecca According To Adam

It’s hard to encapsulate Rebecca in words. No matter what I write, I promise that she is better. To be honest, I am just lucky that I will be able to call her my wife. Before we started dating, I was completely oblivious. I had absolutely no idea if she liked me; all I know is that I didn’t think it was possible that she would. All it took was one note in my yearbook, and her courage to put her phone number at the end. It wasn’t until that moment that I realized that I might actually have a shot. Over the years, I’ve fallen deeper and deeper in love with her. Rebecca is magnificent. She is incomparable, like a… She truly is one of a kind. She has been so open with her emotions, and receptive toward mine. She is beautiful, strong, and funny. I never could have dreamed to find someone that I adore as much as I adore Rebecca. She makes me laugh so much and makes my soul beam with joy. She is intelligent, charismatic, considerate, and caring. I have experienced a lot of trials and tribulations in my life thus far. However, with that pain that I have endured, she has voiced to me that she wishes that she could take my place and experience that pain so I wouldn’t have to. That is how I know that she truly loves me. Rebecca has encouraged me to pursue my dreams, challenged me to become a better version of myself, and loved me for who I am. There is no one on this earth that I would rather spend the rest of my life with. It will truly be an honor to call her my wife.
