Abby and Nate’s story started long before they ever imagined they would end up together. When they were younger, Nate played on the same sports teams and was good friends with Abby’s brother. Abby had the biggest crush on Nate and never complained about going to watch his games. When Nate later moved out of the Southeast Polk School District, they would occasionally run into each other and say hello, but life took them in different directions and they never stayed in touch. Years later, fate brought them back together at Abby’s brother’s wedding in September of 2022. What started as catching up quickly turned into something special. Not long after, on November 1st, 2022, they officially began dating — and quickly realized they had found the person they were meant to spend forever with.
