Millie and Blake’s story began in August 2021 by the lake at Launch Pointe in Lake Elsinore. Millie was working along the water when Blake arrived nearby, building a haunted house overlooking the lake. Drawn to anything a little spooky and mysterious, Millie and her friend Heather wandered over to take a look. What she didn’t realize was that this simple moment would quietly change her life forever. From the very beginning, there was something undeniable between them, a gentle spark that neither could ignore. Millie remembers walking back to her coworkers with a smile she could not contain, saying, “I just met my future husband.” Even though they were both a little shy, fate had other plans. With encouragement from their dear friend Sally, Blake found the courage to ask Millie out, and everything began to fall beautifully into place. Their first date was on Coronado Island, sharing pizza by the water as the sun set around them. Their second date brought pottery painting, full of laughter and easy conversation. By the third date, Blake knew his heart was completely in. When he picked Millie up for a day at Disneyland, he arrived with balloons, flowers, a pumpkin spice latte, and a sweet note that read, “I like you a latte, will you be my girlfriend?” On September 2, 2021, Millie happily said yes, and their love story truly began. On August 10, 2025, during a trip to Charleston, South Carolina, Blake asked Millie to spend forever with him at Cypress Gardens, the beautiful setting where one of their favorite love stories, The Notebook, was filmed. With thoughtful planning and loving support from their wonderful friends Zoe and Kenzie, Blake created a moment Millie will treasure forever. Surrounded by the quiet beauty of the gardens, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his forever. It was a day filled with joy, intention, and a little bit of magic. Since then, they have built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and deep love. They cherish traveling together, especially to the East Coast, and spending time at sporting events cheering on the Dodgers, even if Millie’s loyal Giants heart still shines through. Their little family has grown with the addition of their sweet cat Binx and their playful pup Chai, and each day they continue choosing one another with full hearts. What began as a chance meeting by the lake has grown into a love story rooted in friendship, devotion, and forever.
