10 years ago we both ended up at a high school Christmas party, and after seven months of getting to know each other we made it official July 5th, 2016! We had a delicious dinner at Consiglio's in New Haven, watched the West Haven Fireworks and took a walk down the boardwalk where Rob officially asked me to be his girlfriend. In the midst of seven months there were more bowling and Panera dates then we can count but rather than rushing into something we really took the time to build our friendship first. If you ask us? We think that's the secret to success!

If you know Rob, you know the man stops at nothing to make something perfect. The proposal? I don't think it could have been more perfect. On a freezing cold December day, Rob got down on one knee at my favorite spot on Ocean Drive in Newport, RI. The sun was perfectly setting, the clouds were pink, and it was all a blur. If you ask him, he'll tell you I never officially said "yes" because my adrenaline was rushing and I couldn't think straight. But don't you worry, once he put the ring on my finger and said "so....yes?" I had to of yelled yes 500 times! We went back to Hotel Viking and called all of our family and friends for an hour, and had one of the best dinners at Mama Luisa's downtown. The next morning we got up and watched the sunrise in the exact spot we got engaged, had breakfast at Annie's and of course bounced between a few wedding venues to see what our options were. We wasted NO time! 2 weeks later most of our vendors were booked!
