We're getting married!

THE BEGINNING Fred and Natalie’s story begins in Galveston, TX on July 21, 2021, when the two met for the first time at a cheer camp at Moody Gardens. Natalie was working as an instructor, and Fred as the athletic trainer. Upon arrival, Natalie walked towards Fred, asked him to tape her ankle, and gave her best pick-up line (if you know… you know). Little did she know, Freddie was already arranging to be scheduled at her next camp. Imagine her surprise, when she made it to Little Rock, Arkansas a few weeks later, and Freddie was already there! From there, Freddie asked Natalie on their first date for brunch and a walk. The two continued visiting each other, met each other's families, and became official on September 18, 2021. LONG DISTANCE Throughout the first two years dating, Freddie remained in Waco, TX, attending Baylor University for his Masters degree. Meanwhile, Natalie remained in Nacogdoches, TX, attending Stephen F. Austin to obtain her undergraduate degree, while cheering on the collegiate team. ISLAND LIFE Long distance finally came to a close as Natalie was accepted to the University of Texas Medical Branch’s Doctorate of Occupational Therapy program in Galveston, TX! Together, the two moved to the place where it all started and created their island home! Although it seems like a silly coincidence to move back to the town where they met, they two know the Lord beautifully crafted this “full-circle” moment! THE PROPOSAL For their third anniversary, Freddie gifted Natalie a couple’s photoshoot on the beach. Without Natalie knowing, Fred had been planning for months and carefully crafting the night for the proposal! During the photoshoot, Fred knelt down on the Galveston shore and asked Natalie to be his wife, a special moment the two will cherish forever. During this time, a group of their loved ones were at a local restaurant, transforming the room into a surprise engagement party!! Following the proposal, Freddie told Natalie he had dinner reservations for them. As they walked into the restaurant, the two were celebrated by everyone there, feeling more cherished than ever! ENGAGEMENT & MARRIAGE The couple could not be happier as they look forward to the day they say, “I do!” The two praise Christ for the gift of marriage and eagerly await to become one!
